Challenge
A safety app has to work every time—lives depend on it. The hard parts: accurate background location tracking, instant alert delivery, privacy-first design, and consistent behavior across iOS, Android, and Web. Location queries have to run fast without draining the battery.
Solution
HerCircle is a Flutter app with a Supabase backend for real-time sync. The safety loop shares a journey with trusted contacts, fires a silent alert when the ETA is exceeded, and offers a fake call to get out of an unsafe situation. Geospatial queries in PostgreSQL drive the location features.
